Hey Unik. Try doing a search in Google, you will find tonnes of useful info.

There are also alot of tutorials at the Frantic website (creators of Krakatoa):

Each rollout in Krakatoa has a Help button on top that goes to the Online Manual page. Just in case you missed it.

Sounds like Krakatoa was not installed correctly and is missing files on startup.
What version number does the installer report and where did you get it from?

LOL, Well you have just learned your first lesson. GO GET A LEGIT DEMO VERSION! from HERE (http://www.franticfilms.com/software/products/krakatoa/download/) Then come back and ask for help.

Krakatoa provides a VERY liberal evaluation version and 15 days full version for testing. Then it provides a relatively low price taking into account what the product is capable of.

We generally don't run around pointing fingers when people ask for help because we assume that they are using the evaluation build, or if they have a crack, they are smart enough to keep quiet. We like it very much that people like Krakatoa.

But then somebody is dense enough to go online to the forum where the developers of Krakatoa read every message and ask for help with a crack. It cracks me up (pun intended!)

Step 1: Uninstall ALL Krakatoa installs (illegal or legal)

Step 2: Run Virus Scan

Step 3: Remove Virus attained while using said crack.

Step 4: Delete License File (c:\flexlm\*.dat)

Step 5: Reboot

Step 6: Install legit BETA!

Step 7: Come back and apologize to the workers who spend countless hours making Krakatoa. And let them know you didn't realize what you had done. Because it seems like you honestly might not have known...

Step 8: Remove previous post of Direct Download hyperlink to crack...

Step 9: If its still broke, now you are doing something legit and its a valid question...i am sure a kind soul will help you out.

That's the steps....Enjoy!

Oh well... Here we go:

Krakatoa requires a very specific (but simple) directory structure to be in place for the system to work.

Normally, the installer will put the files under C:\Program Files\Frantic Films\Krakatoa\
There is a \Scripts folder containing the scripts needed to run it, and there are also several plugins folders for the various Max versions (8,9/2008, 2009, 32 and 64 bit).

When you run the installer, it will ask you where your 3dsmax.exe is located and will try to modify the plugin.ini to point at the correct version of the plugin for the given Max build.

The ONLY requirement (which appears to have not been met in your case) is that the \Scripts folder is located two folders up from the plugins folder. If this is not the case, no script components will be loaded and you will see the error you got.

For example, on Max 9 or Max 2008 32 bit, the plugin path to add to the plugin.ini would be
C:\Program Files\Frantic Films\Krakatoa\3dsMax9\Win32
and the scripts folder Krakatoa would be searching for would be
C:\Program Files\Frantic Films\Krakatoa\Scripts

If you have installed Krakatoa the way described above, your plugin.ini file is pointing at the correct plugin and you are still getting an error, post here.
