Oh thats really great, Your character has alot of life so far...I'd say keep the eyes..they are very expressive even without pupils..the skin textures and wettness are working very well...you can really feel his/her skin. One thing that bothers me is the plan for the body. I guess I'm just not a big fan of insect bodies...multiple legs feelers etc. I instantly saw a more humaniod form when i saw his head...I think it would give him more character.....long fingers, chiped fingernails...maybe a primitive loin cloth or leather covering...just some ideas. No matter what you do, it will look great :)...keep up the fantastic job squidinc!!

As far as the eye comments go, perhaps if the eyebrow ridge could be extended a little further out in front, so the surface of the eyes was more like: \ (at the moment the eyes are leaning back like: / (in your first pic of just the head the eyes are vertical, but in the latter images they have the appearance of looking up because the head has been slightly tilted back a bit, I think) this may be why it looks less menacing. if that has confused you completely, then what i mean is if you tilted the face like 5 degrees foreward, that would make it look down again and seem huge and [more] nasty-looking

Also, maybee if the eye colour was a more orange or red, that might make it more scary, I love the lack of a pupil and the luminouse effect, though 'cause that is menacing and scary too :)

One day.......Maybee......I could even come close to your standard, I would be a very happy camper, :thumbsup:
