View Full Version : Spring Time !
ladokar 03-10-2009, 09:19 PM I made this for 3rd grade students, I was inspired by the drawings of my niece, she's 3 years old. I was searching for something childish and constructive, and aspiring for a child mind !
C & C are very important !

C & C are no more important
Is it so because we no more enjoy the simple !
or is it so because we enjoy nothing than a stereotype !
or that we didn't have our share of complexity !
So....
C & C are no more important !
Thanks

This is a very nice imitation of child drawings. Those things are actually harder to make than one expects, I think. I like how you made one eye bigger than the other on most of the faces. It adds a little childish sillyness to the characters' expressions.
As for any real critique, I must admit that I'm at a loss, since it's been ages since I've tried drawing like this myself.
But it's nice to see something simple like this in here. Made me smile :)

The only thing bothering me is that the boy in the middle is in the process of falling of the tree... but really, that is something that will be in children's drawings.
I remember all too well that I once tried to do 4 reindeer in an arc and couldn't get perspective right whatever I did (okay I did't understood perspective that good back then) but for all my effort I still won some pencils. And I still wonder why the jury, guy of the drawing contest did that...
Maybe you can tell me, you working with 3rd graders and all that :)
Back on topic. While I like what you are doing here. I do believe in setting an example to children. They learn through imitating.. and I don't know where you'd end up as a kid imitating someone who is imitating you, but I don't think that is a very positive learning environment.
Don't hate me :) and please go on in your quest of finding your inner child. It is what all great artists do.
Bye!
