Here is a quick and simple setup,
but it has it's ups and downs.

I used an FFD(Box) geometric/deformable
I used Xform on the surface I want to conform to to flatten it
then I skin wrapped the ffd box to the surface
then I disabled the Xform to get the deformation of the surface on the ffd
Now all left to do is to connect the morph object to the ffd and put it in the right place

Attached a demo file made in max 2008
Good luck!
Matan.

Hey man
thanks for the incredibly quick reply!
Being somewhat of an idiot I confused which thread I was reading. My actual problem involves non conforming meshes but not morphs. I posted a new thread here and any help would be much appreciated

P.s. that Max file (although irrelevant to my actual problem) was flipping sweet!
