i have strange problem with maya render globals panel.. on my machine works fine.. but when i try to open that scene on other machine in network render globals just dont want to open! just gives me blank window... on some machines work, on some not!
it gives me really big problems.. i think that have something with installes plugins on machine where scene is created.
Does someone knows how to fix this problem?

thanx

This was a common problem with certain versions of Maya that's stopped in v2009. You need to restart Maya when it occurs.

sorry but i have that problem for a long time and i tried almost everything, also restarting application... and didn't solve my problem...
this problem is always on same machines! it's some problem with plugins that leave some strings in scenes even if you dont use them in that scene.. like shave globals and stuff...
but im not sure how to delte them... even opening scene lika .ma and changing stuff there wont help....

You can try exporting geometry and importing into a new scene. That sometimes helps.

we'll that is not an option because it's really complicated scene with lot of shaders and rigs.... i tried to optimize scene but just to turn on "delete unknown nodes" and that didn't work too...
my main question is why work on some machines and not on the others..
also work in maya 64bit and not in 32 bit... i'm really confused...

thanx for help anyway!

sometimes the globals freak out on me, and the only way to fix it is to delete the render globals through the outliner. maya will create a new render globals node which normally fixes the problem. make sure you save versions before you do this of course...

also, if the problem occurs only on certain machines you'd think its not a problem with the scene. have you tried deleting the prefs on the problematic machines?

Hi
If you right click in the Outliner with the option Show DAG Objects Only, then scroll down to the list to find the unused nodes that cause the pb.
hope this help
