Hi everyone,

I'm working with cat 3.0 and 3ds max 2008.

The problem is that sometime I can't create a keyframe exactly on a frame.
For an example I want to create a keyframe at frame 50:
On frame 50 I create a key by right-clic on the timeline or by move the cat object on "auto key" mode. The key will not be create on frame 50 but 50:3.
If i've already got a key on the frame 50 I'll have 2 key with a different of 3 ticks.
After create the key I can move it exactly on the frame I want with the snap to frame, but it's not really usefull...

I haven't found something how really make this "bug" occurs, but generally when I'm working with a CAT rig for a long time the bug finally occurs.
-I've seen on this forum that the "time warp" of cat can have responsibility but in my case the Time warp animation is fine (linear progression with a 1/1 ratio).
-When I create key the time display of the timeline is really on Frames mode an not Frame:Ticks
-I haven't scale the animation or change the frame rate in any case

After search one the web I think that the problem occurs only with CAT object but I haven't see any solutions.

If someone have found a solution or an explication for this problem...

PS: Sorry for the dirty english i've give you here but i've try to explain myself as clear as I can...

Welcome to the forums.I couldn't recreate this problem myself. But i would suggest getting into the habit of posting in the appropriate forum.this is the Max tutorial forum and people generally post up tuts here.Try getting a mod to delete this and repost on the main forum and you're sure to recieve more responses.

Thanks for the quick reply and sorry if isn't the better place but I haven't seen the main forum for 3ds...

There one more things in all my scenes, but I don't really thinks that can make something:

I parent all the cat rig on a dummy because i've got to have a main parent on the floor.
This parent are necessary for the export in the 3d engine I use.
The bone length axis is the Z axis (but I think I had the same problem before when I were working on X axis)
