View Full Version : Arm/leg setup like ELASTIK plug-in in Maya 2009?

I'm trying to do a setup similar to the one from ELASTIK plug-in (http://www.michael-hutchinson.com/downloads/index.php). Its an awesome plug-in, but unfortunately it's last version is for Maya 8.0. I wonder why he didn't update it...

I'm using Maya 2009 and I would like to know how to setup two features from ELASTIK manually:


Adjustable smooth stretch
Interactive elbow/knee manipulation
Does anybody know a tutorial about this or could post something about it?? Thanks

You should look for soft-IK in this forum and google. There was a tutorial on XSI blog some time back.

I'm curious as well. I spent all day today trying to find plugins or tutorials for stretchy bones and everything I found was for an older version of maya. Anyone know of anything?
