Very dark colors, it should be much brighter. (I really like the top, but it's too dark!) Now that may just be me, but I think it's too dark. =| You should make it a little bit brighter, in my opinion.
That's the only thing I disliked, the rest of the layout is very good.
BTW, the 'labels' under the Cant logo are going to be links, right? If they are just there fer show, it doesn't fit in.

eh... it's an interesting look but yes... waaaaay too dark. It reminds me of some of those illegal warez sites from back when... hehehe, not that I'm implying anything about ur site in particular, but yeah. =)
But on another note, I have yet to see anything "fantasticly original." I dunno, something about this piece reminds me of a general trend I see in these small freelance design sites that have been popping up here and there... something revolving around the tech/industrial/metallic/square-ish/geometric look. Spoono.com I think illustrates this trend I seem to see a lot in these sites that pop up here and there.
Try playing with something more amorphous and free flowing. U might find something a bit more interesting that is more suited to u than the "general trend."

Hey thanks a lot for feedback you two ;)
Is it really that dark? Well maybe my monitor is adjusted a little to bright, because I haven't really noticed this so far. Will try to brighten stuff up a bit.
Premutos: Yeah, these labels will kind of form the headlines for the links, while below are going to be the more detailled links.
singularity2006: Hehe what had you to look on illegal warez sites, huh? ;) And yes it's definitely following the "trendwhorish" called trend but I also tried to bring some new aspects in like this graffity can (instead of these bizare cubes and stuff) and the blots of color on the cANt-Logo.
Again thanks for feedback, really appreciate this constructive criticism

hello,
i agree with what others are saying, and especially with what singularity mentioned about the trendy look, not that it's bad or anything.
I do really like it though, you seemed to have spent quite bit of time putting that together. Really like the "cant" grafiti look and the colour. I dun think it's too dark, i rather think it's too gray, that's prolly why people are saying it lacks colour. u know what i mean right?? all the gray is about the same value. but then again, it depends on what you put in ur site, if you got flashy stuff planned for the main body and menus i think it will hold it nicely. since the bg is all soft and nothing sticks out.
maybe you should play with the values a bit, see if it looks any good right to really dark or right to almost white, or some other colour tints.

i do agree with bumskee, the layout is not dark it just lacks
contrast but this can be great advantage if you want a full
emphasis on the contents. what i can suggest is give a little
more contrast between your logo and its background.

i think top bar has taken up lots of space......
there should be something at the bottom to balance out the image.......
keep up the good work:thumbsup:

it still looks foggy..maybe you should overlay it on white or something, make it look more "metal" or plastic if thatr's what you're aiming for, also, give it just a little more red in the banner if you wanna use that color...
