Maya is a more 'HighEnd' application, in my personal opinion. If you want to do CRAZY COOL looking PROFESSIONAL stuff, stick with Maya. But if you want to do less complicated gaming type graphics, etc - etc, stick with 3D Studio Max. Before you make a solid decision, I highly recommend that you do some research on both, and on the other animation programs out there.

- 3D Studio Max
- Maya
- Houdini
- Blender [haha]

There are too many threads on which software is better. This vs That (maya vs max mainly).

Try free demos that are all over the web, Softimage XSI EXP, Maya PLE, Wings 3D, but all these programs are in essence all the same. They produce 3D.

choose wisely you must, walk the path you can. :applause: sorry
