Title: Giant hunting?
Name: Jonathan Beard
Country: USA
Software: Sketchbook Pro

I started off painting the giant, planning to put a "giant trap" in the foreground. However as it took shape I felt it was lacking motion and so put a guy running from the giant instead of the trap. A story started to form of a hero with only one arrow left...

I used Sketchbook pro with custom feather brushes, pencil & air brush. I attempted to create scale and distance by keeping the background loose and unsaturated. Conversely the foreground was saturated and detailed. The birds help with scale and to lead the eye.

Hope you like it. Let me know what you think.

nice, good color and atmosphere perspective, if make the far away giant more perspective will make it looks bigger, and i think make sky and the giant brighter will push it farther, contrast with the foreground.

the lighting on the little guy doesnt match the rest of the picture, he looks a bit cropped in.

i think some more contrast for the giant will fix it ... right now the eye moves either directly to the giant because of his size or to the little guy because of high contrast .. maybe moving the giant to the center of the canvas and shifting his focus on the guy might help it some more ...

Nice piece of work.
The running guy may be closer with that sharpness and detail level. That's my suggestion.
