I've installed 0.98.11b. It takes 50 percent processor speed when I start it. I'm using Win2000. On my other computer (also Win2000) the same release uses 0 percent processor speed at startup. Did anyone know the problem and how can I fix it ?

It almost sounds like one computer is using hardware accelerated 3D graphics while the other one is using the CPU to do 3D. on the computer that had a 50% load check to make sure it has a 3D card and that it has the latest drivers.

I'd checked this out...I've tested it on three machines:

1. WIN2000 with GeForce 4 Ti 4200 - 0% Processor Speed
2. WIN2000 with GeForce 2 Ultra Pro - 50% Processor Speed
3. WIN XP ATI Radeon 7500 - 50 % Processor Speed

All systems uses the newest drivers. If I use a previous version of wings (0.98.10e) processor usage decreases to 33 %. Other ideas ????:eek:

On my slow rig (only one with wings installed) Wings is hovering around 25% processor usage.

XP Pro
866 P3
896M RAM
Geforce 2 64M Pro

Strange that you are seeing such varience. I'll install on my big rig tommorrow and see where it runs.
