CGTalk - Hide xform gizmo?

Is it possible to hide the xform gizmo? I’m using it to scale some rig controls and whenever the control is selected, the modifier gizmo also appears, which is an undesirable affect when handing off a rig to animators.

The only way I know of is to toggle it using "max showaxisicon".

I don't think there's a way, but you can always add another modifier like attribute holder or mesh select on top of it to hide the gizmo that way...

Cool. Thanks guys. Adding a disabled dummy modifier (Attribute Holder) does the trick.
