View Full Version : Applying quality presets in Mentalray with Python

Hi,

I'm pretty new to python/mel scripting and I'm working on my first "big" project. I'm trying to load a preset that changes the Mental Ray render settings, but I haven't been able to figure out a way to do it with Code.

I know how to create these presets but to apply them at with a command has not worked yet (i can apply them through the Maya UI but that's not what I want :).

I'm also interested if anyone knows of any documentation about using python and MentalRay together then I'd love to see it.

The render settings are all attributes stored on the bake set.

Try in mel :

print `listAttr initialTextureBakeSet`

And you'll find what you're after.
