CGTalk - need help importing a file!!

I'm having trouble importing a file into photoshop. I want to texture a model of a head i've done so i put a uvw unwrap mod on it and saved the template as a uvw file. when i try and open it in photoshop it won't let me. this is the first time i've tried to do this. what am i doing wrong?? Please help!! btw i'm using max 5.

What is the actual format that Max saved the image as? When in doubt, always save as EPS, as practically any program will open those.

I could only save the file as a uvw file but it doesnt matter any more because i downloaded 'textporter' and used that so problem solved. thanks for the reply anyhow. now then, if only i had ur texturing skills...
