Hi everybody,

as you might know the Norman rig is still available for public, you can find it here (http://sites.google.com/site/normanrig/).
Thanks a lot for their contributors.

I also checked the animation buffet tutorial (http://animationbuffet.blogspot.com/2008/03/norman.html) about the modification of this rig, but while trying to wrap a new limb, the function didn't work as expected...
Have any one of you tried to customize it in a proper way so each limb is mirrored, and how would you wrap a mesh to this rig?
I also encountered some scaling issues of the limbs.
I guess that I'm not the only one that would interest and I'll hopefully look forward your help.
Thanks.
K.

I'm not sure what problems you ran into with the wrap, but you know you can always just skin the new geometry directly to the joints.

As for the scaling issues, can you be more specific?

Hi Morganism and thanks for answering,

I just created a mesh on top of the previous one (the arm) I removed and created a deformer > wrap or edited deformer > wrap but nothing worked. It didn't follow the rotation, on the animation buffet website it seemed easy the way it was explained but I'm not very technical. For the scaling issue, when I modified the mesh on the rig, (making a leg thicker) while bending it, it would shrink from the knee side.

I've seen so many modifications of norman, apparently it doesn't sound too complicated but my knowledge in skinning and modelling is really little, but I keep the faith.

Hi,

I have finally found a way to "wrap". Actually a rigid bind works perfectly, but if I want to use the "bend bone" to affect my mesh what deformer should I use and how?
Thanks for your help.
