View Full Version : Surface is not emitting particles

Hey guys!

I have a extruded NURBS surface and wanted to emit particles from it. The procedure is clear. But when I switch the emitter to surface no particles will be emitted. Some things Ive tested.

- Every other emitter types works just fine
- Looking at the pShape node count stays at zero
- Max Count is -1, but I tested some values, too. Just in case.
- I rebuild the surface bringing it in a range from 0 to 1. still nothing

Any help is highly appreciated.

I am on mac 10.4.11 and maya 2008 is running.

you can try increasing the "tesselation factor"-attribute in the geoConnector-node on the emitting-surface...i had that same problem lately, and doing that magically helped :)

it, too, was really destroying my day at the time...because, as you said - it's a simple setup that's supposed to "just work".

at the end it was more a question of "what attribute haven't i tried??", i guess ;)
