Hi guys! I'm going to model a belivable (i hope...) 3D version of the ORIGINAL CARTOON VERSION of HORDAK.

http://immagini.p2pforum.it/out.php/i149302_Hordak.jpg

I will try to maintain as much as I can the likeness with the cartoon character that differ very much from all the other versions. I know that the Action figure incarnation is very cool especially this one:

http://www.fourhorsemen.biz/gallery/motu/bust-hordakb.htm

I love the 2000 look Hordak - he ruled. Any way this is the link to the bust version of him (Four horsemen made all the 2000 figures). I used it 2 years ago to do a talking version of him - but its only the top half.

They may be of some use to you but you do have a great collection of reference there already

Thank you tweetytunes! I will use it as a surface details reference, because I'm goin to model the Hordak's toon version: the one with blue body....

thanks again, see you!

Hi guys, this is the starting point. A very low poly mesh. The central pole is 2 meters high, it should represent the maximum height of the character.

There are some differences in the proportions between the cartoon figure and the action figures. The main difference is that the toon character less Wide than the toy.

At this point of the wip I'm defining the main proportions and volumes.

New Update, hands and a funny head... The head is like a balloon just because I'm trying to concentrate only in proportions and volumes taking no attention to small details and maintaining the topology simplest as possible.

Ahahahha thanks Playmobil, but for now I'm proceeding with the classic polymodeling, beacuse I want follow the toon version of Hordak as close as possible. I'll swtich to Zbrush at the end of the work for the fine details only....

take that update for now!
