Hi .

I did a concept for aproject I'm working on in 3d .
I wanted to improve my skills in digital painting .
The concept is a delivery guy in heaven .

I'd love to hear some comments .

This is my first post here in the 2d .

Welcome to 2d!

It's beautiful but there are few things that could be better.
The composition and values could need some work. Actually - using the bright red-orange against a light yellow background create an unpleasant experience when looking at the character and it's hard to catch any details of the character's expression or pose (atleast for me but my eyesight is not very good anyway).

The character seems so small against that background. there's no other focal point. I suggest you work on the composition first. Move the character and his...flying thingy.. a bit lower and to the left - so that the character's face is placed right where that sphere shaped flying thingy is at the moment. Then the flypath. You could make some interaction between the clouds and the flypath. Don't make the flypath start from the middle of the picture.. it divides the canvas. Make it start nearer to the cloud on the left.

Valuerange. You can make a big difference by keeping the clouds within a small ranges of values. For the clouds in the front - keep the values in about midgray - at the back lightgray. This way you can help guide the eye to the character and make a better definition.

Anyway.. just my thoughts. :)

EDIT: Just to note - when I said midgray and lightgray - I'm talking about values purely - not colours. I don't suggest you should desaturate anything.

First , thanks for the kind words and comments .
About the values I tried to put the foreground dark grey the middle mid and the back light
which is about what you said ,except you didn't suggested nothing for the middle ...
as for the other stuff I will try to implement them but I think it will loose a bit of the concept
I wanted to have the feeling as if he rises to the brightest point and that the environment is something grand .
Also I worked on the composition before I got into the painting .
I'll update soon .

Thanks
