i cant say im a veteran in maya, but i have seen teh same thing Kabab has. there are so so so many questions that whould be posted in a thread were all newbies should go. i think people could contribute to that thread also, like "ok folks your new to maya you want to know why maya dont have a good bevel..." that way people can stop asking why mayas bevel is so terrible. i dont have a problem with it i use MJ poly tools, i juse use the split around, but thats somethign else. that could go on there like tools peolple need if there coming from like LW, 3dS. i see alot of time like. how do i do a split aound my whole model in maya? how do i use the bansaw from LW?

I am personally agree with you. I'm a new user too and I'm sure there are alot of others just like us with the same passion to learn Maya and in the process there must be ton of "silly" or "stupid" questions we couldnt solve by our own. So that would be great if the experts in here could spare a little time for us

Just one thing;)
They will keep asking, even if the same question is answered 10 times.. for some unknown reason people just don't use the search, and don't look for a similar thread:hmm:

But how does a newbie know that his qustion is a newbie one. Some newbies have interesting questions. Also some veterans have newbie questions. The thing is if you have a question you are a newbie to someone who already knows the answer to that. And forums are for asking questions and sahring thoughts. So let it be as it is.
Guess it is the moral obligation of the veterans to answer newbie questions. Someone did answer their questions when they were newbies. They should pass on the good turn.
