Hey Sanket, nice start on He-man :)

I think the head is currently looking a bit too small, also, I think his pecks at the corners need to be higher up as they look as though they are drooping.

SteveTsang : yeah man .. this was like first attempt .. will surely tweak the pecs.. plus the head is intentionally small.. i was thinking of exaggerating the super-heroic luk of him ..moreover i think the head will luk fine when i wil add the hair.. but still i wil surely tweak the head a bit .. but one more thing, i m facing this problem right now with ZBrush, its not subdividing the mesh above level 4.. i dont know how to get rid of this problem so that i can sub-divide the mesh to higher levels and add more details to the sculpt. and thanks for the feedback..:)

Well, I'm fairly new to zbrush myself so I don't have ehough experience to know what problem you might be facing. Maybe you could split the body up at least so that each component can have a denser mesh. You could have the legs seperated by the belt and pants area which is in turn seperate from the body.

I know what you could do is export the model already sub-divided at lvl4 into an .obj and then reopen it and then sub-divide more | but there should be something in the settings section that would let you sub-divide above 4..

hmm .. well .. yeah ... may be i can try that ... but wat about the sculpt details that i've already started on the mesh !?

A nice start. I think there could be more detail around the ankle and shin area in particular. I'm also not sure about the proportions ... it doesn't "feel" right but then, he's not exactly a normal guy is he? :D

Looking forward to more updates and seeing him posed and with hair :)

You could make a clone of the model, mask half of it and "hide pt", then delete hidden. Repeat this for the other half and append the other half into the subtool. In terms of retaining a lower sub-d level for general tweaks I think that if you were to leave the model at its highest subdivision and delete the lower sub-d, then after deleting the unwanted half you should be able to reconstruct to lower sub-d' levels. Of course you should test this before making it permanent.

Preferences menu/mem/MaxPolyPerMesh slider. I wouldn`t bring it up past 10 unless u have a really good machine. you can inadvertantly subdivide and crash your system and lose a lot of work. That comes from xp btw.

The subdivision limit is based on polycount in preferences.

I think you can work around it using the high definition mesh options? I believe it works by giving you more levels but only showing you part of the whole mesh as you work.

Looking good so far, Thats a pretty big undertaking
u got there with all the characters. I think u got a nice
start so far but at this point I would check his proportions.
Maybe think about where his waist is in relation to where
his hands drop, size of the head, that type of thing.
Nice start though.

Nice start, but I think the length of the arm on the body is too big.
God luck.

you might want to check on the shapes and proportions of the character. compare your zbrush render and a picture of any body builder in zbrush,(arnold will be a good choice).

there are a lot of issuses with his feet and chest, also muscles dont look organic. try not to stay neat and tidy when it comes to muscles,

i would also suggest doing a retopo in zbrush, i really feel the basemesh is not upto the mark.

keep on HMCing..

..... agree with faraz:deal:
u should study forms and shapes of he man before detailing

axiomatic (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=309874) : yeah man ,totally agree..there are many problems.. surely gonna tweak almost all the areas.. the proportions are so out ..and yeah he is not natural obviously ..but a supernatural .. hehehe.....well, its was like just a quick round of sculpting .. will work on it in detail on this weekend for sure ...

SteveTsang (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=285610): yeah man ,seems like this idea will work. will try it for sure ..seems liiitttle messy but its ok if its solving the problem.. but this is wierd i dont know why zbrush is doing this ,,,earlier i've worked on pretty high res models but never faced this typo situation.. anyways .. lets see if i can manage it by separating .. anyways .. thanks a lot for this idea..

RageOfAges (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=312646) : i already tried increasing that setting ... i m running on 4gigs n a core 2 quad processor and a 8800 GT.. still its not dividing ...giving the error that cannot subdivide and its telling me to delete the lower subdivs... :-(

sburto20 (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=41354) : thanks man !! and yeah .. the hands luk big to me too ... but i m going to tweak the length of legs, then they are gonna luk fine.. i need to go once again on the basic proportions .. will surely tweak it.. thanks for kind works.. C&C will be helpful in future too ..

pauloduarte (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=87247) : thanks man ,,, and yeah i m surely going to tweak the propotions to make them right .. :-)

farazmobin (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=236327) : thanks for dropping by brother!! aggree with u about the chest and feet.. but i havent started working on the feet yet.. but will surely do better to the chest.. and about the muscles..i m using your previous models too as reference and wil surely do better than this right now ..this was just like a quick scribble.. and little favour, cud u plz just tell me short pointers abt the area which can be a problem in future and can be solved by retopoing..and cud u plz suggest me some ways i can get rid of the subdividing issue...and plz keep checking this thread man, your support will be really helpful..got to learn a lot from you .. :-) (and btw, where are you these days ??)

samarcbz (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=218754) : hey hey DUDE !! long time .. gud to see you dropping by.. m glad u checked this thread... m using some images of your works too as some references for anatomy..your work has always been an inspiration for me .. will surely try to improve this model.. your kind feedback wud be really of help in future.. (btw, nice website you've got,its luking hardcore! and your new works are also awesome.. where are you these days ??)

just tried to change the proportions little bit .. hands and feet are still untouched .. but just wanted to see whether its right to proceed or not .. donno for some reasons m having some problems with the mesh .. most probably m thinking of quick starting this again on a new mesh with some changes, may be i'll not model the toe fingers in it n few more changes.. not getting much time to start the battle cat and skeletor due to some shitty exams approaching .. but still will try my best to start them asap side by side.. i hope time favours me ..
