This has really strange lighting. For example, take a look at the shading on his neck and work your way down the torso. The head has lighting on the left side and then further down it changes to the right. Try applying some desaturation to give depth in certain places. A great artist to examine for something like this would be htk. (specifically for the style)example (http://www.xlr8ion.com/images/htk/calintz.jpg)
just so this doesnt sound to critical I do like the concept behind it.

I really like the design, nice facial design especially, you do indeed should detail the lightning out.

But I like the character anyways good work, main thing you should do though is put some more work into background cause it's all too bright nowm or just leave it blank when you have no time for it.
