Title: Moonlight Wild Jungle
Name: Christian Svetoslavov
Country: France
Software: Photoshop

The theme of the jungle never leaves me without inspiration. The scene represents a lost jungle with huge hollow trees, that serves for habitat for the dwellers of the jungle. Here the jungle opens up the depths of its lush vegetation to a sky illuminated by the light of the moon which adds a very dramatic and romantic aspect to the scene.

It took me six days of compositing. Contrary to my other works this one was quite a challenge because of the wider format. The original is 120 x 50 cm large with 180 dpi (8504 x 3543 pixels). Actually, this illustration was made to fit a wide format in order to be printed on a canvas with wooden chassis for a limited edition, and is on sale on this site: http://www.imagine-design.fr/ (in the section "galerie créateur").

This is a composition of photography manipulation and painted colorfields for atmosphere. The original photography that I used was taken from flickr.com, which the owner kindly permitted me to use in my composition. Each tree comes from the same original shot. For the rest I played with cut out plants.

Thanks everybody for comments. I wanted to post the main photography that I used for composition. The other trees are derivatives of the same one.
Here it is:
