hey all, might aswell introduce myself.. im new at drawing, meaning ive never drawn anything besides doodles in school and such, but lately ive decided to do something about it since i find it quite entertaining (lately meaning the last couple of days), why im saying this? well to point out im a total newbie and thats why this drawing sucks :P

but well u need guidance and critiqe to advance in skill in every aspect so i decided to post my first real drawing atempt ^^

now quality sucks because i had to cam it in since i dont have a scanner but u can see it okay

what i would like is critique, what i did good what i did bad, what to add and such because tbh i can see theres still a lot lacking but with my level of skill theres nothing i can do about it atleast not without guidance

anyways here it is

Hey,

I would say if you want to improve your drawing skills just start bringing a sketchbook with you at all times. Draw people, plants, animals, everything and anything. Really start looking at angles and proportions.

As far as your drawing goes. His arms are a bit pewney (sp) And I would look at his head as well. Look at a giraffe's neck or the way the spin moves. The head doesn't pivot at a single point. Each vertebrae twists until the correct rotation is received.

thanks for the advice :D

ive been drawing abit of different poses this last few days, or atleast tried, and practising angles alrdy feeling abit more comfortable in it ^^ and yea i can see what u mean :D

You actually need some anatomy reference - you can find lots of muscular backs on google , or go here http://characterdesigns.com/index.php?sitepage=photosets and pick a photoset to browse, or here: http://justmeina.deviantart.com/gallery/#_browse/resources/stockart/model/men/anatomy

Overall it's a really nice start. It falls down with the wings themselves - your perspective is wonky. Google bats for some ideas how wings look at different angles and that will help.

Let's see you develop this one a bit further.
