Hi everybody.
Below are some nice refs I found. Especially Lion-O and Panthro and credit should be given to Carlos Florencio(Panthro), Disney(b. and the beast), and whoever painted the awesome image of Lion-O, thanks.

The following images is my take on Lion-O with the help of some great refs above. He's supposed to be alot older, hence the white hair and some scars to go along. My intention is to give him a more cat-like appearance. I haven't really sorted out all the kinks yet so your critique are highly appreciated. Especially regarding the feet, but the following pictures is the idea so far. Seeing as they travelled in a space ship, their technology is well developed so it seem odd to dress him in a heavy armour of medieval type(even though it's great looking). Also they jump and do vaults and a bunch of other acrobatic movements that requires them to be agile. Instead I've tried to make it more slim and kinda futuristic to go along with the sci fi-idea and original concept. The magic essence is still there and his sword is still the eye of Thundera.

I'm sorry for the huge pictures. Normally I use imageshack which resizes them in the link, but it never uploaded so I went with tinypic.com

Ron Pearlman as Lion-O, that sounds like a no brainer. :D Good Luck.

Cool. I didn't know he played that part, but not hard to imagine =).
Still don't know about the legs. What do you guys think?

Some progress. Gonna start the head soon. Still very interested in your opinions regarding his legs. Should I go for human or feline anatomy?

having trouble with that myself, i decided to go mostly human body so far. I would say if you have the time make a quick mock up of both and see what you like more.

yeah. think i'm gonna go for cat legs though. thought it could be kina cool to push it more towards the animal path.

Well, continued some, no need sleeping now. Blocked up his head. I think this is somewhere in the right direction. I still want it to be kinda recognizable to the original series so I'm not going to overdo the animal features as I don't want it t be a cat, standing. But then again, if you have any suggestions, please!

Ok, for anyone interested, here is a rough paintover. I think this is gonna be my new aim. I've decided to stay closer to the original than I intended to from the beginning, but I want to make his feline features to be just a bit more obvious and rough and I think I'm on the right way.

Ok, so I scrapped my last idea and went back to the prior head and my original intention.....bah!
Been working on the arm this night and I'm actually satisfied with the result but then I'm not the anatomy expert I'd wish I was. Couldn't find any really good shots of the deltoids from above, but this is what I got for now. I'm aware the lines are just coming to an end here and there, but soon enough I'll connnect them.

Oh, and please feel free to do some overpaint. Would really really appreciate it!
