Title: Chinese Monastery
Name: Daniel Kvasznicza
Country: Canada
Software: Photoshop

I've chosen a chinese/tibetan monastery in the mountains as topic for our internal concept art training at Meduzarts (www.meduzarts.com)

Entirely painted in Photoshop, I've started from a rough line drawing. I've spent approx. 16 hours, while recording the first 6 hours with Camtasia.

The original measures 3400x1692.
I have a 1920px version in the conceptart gallery of my website: www.inetgrafx.com

I really like the feel of this...the lighting is really great. Also, I think you did a good job of creating a lot of detail without making the image look overworked. Good job :)

As much as I love the concept, development, detail, and textures of this piece, I don't think it a Chinese monastary is what I feel. true it has the curved roofs, but when I first saw it, it looked almost European or North-middle eastern. I love the building itself, but I think it could use more Asian influences, designs, and colors. The sky, landscape, and background in general is gorgeous and beautifully detailed. Nice work.

Very nice piece, you did a great work on this one. The composition is simple and very efficient, the soft impact of the sun on the rocks gives a good ambiance. Congrats.
