Hi, I'm just starting out in this area of C4d and new to CGTalk, was wondering if it were possible to Sample levels of illumination with xpresso or scripting.

Basically I'm trying to get a trigger to pop lights on as illumination decreases below a threshold. Anyone know if this is possible without complex scripting, if at all? Would be brilliant if you could simulate a timelapse effect and have lights turn on and off over the building as it gets darker with time etc. Or make lighting more efficient by turning off lights it saturated spaces for Arch-Viz.

Many thanks for anyones time, Dave

Later edit:
On reflection i imagine this not possible as it would require post render values to adjust the light. Sorry if anyone wasted any time with this!
