Howdy people of great knowledge...
I have an issue that I've had for a while and it probably is a very simple explanation and/or a solution to it.
Short description of issue.
I'm drawing with ink pen on layer 1 (liquid ink layer) to create an outline (line art)
I just finished, now I create a different layer (#2) to be used as the coloring (fill in layer)
I move layer 2 underneath layer 1
I select layer 1, use the magic wand to select an area on Layer 1
I select underlying layer 2 and do a "fill" with the paint bucket.
Great- now I want to use the ink to paint on layer 2 (to fill in what paint bucket missed)
Instead of letting me paint on layer 2- Painter creates a new layer (layer 3) on top..
My problem is that I would like to go back to layer 2 and continue using the ink pen but I am never able to. If I continue like this, i soon have 5-6 layers when i really want just one for lineart and one for coloring.
I use photoshop and thats how I am reasoning- it always work for me there.
Painter is different, more lifelike in the way it acts..
What do I misunderstand? Is there something i can do?
I would greatly take your thought on this..
