Hi,

I'm rigging a head with two bones skull and jaw, and i need to know where is the jaw bone rotation axis.

so ... any help

while your head technically has a skull and movable jaw, you need to make the jaw a hinge piece with 2 joints coming off of the same joint that holds the top jaw joint for the top lip eventually; just trace a real bottom jawline using 2 joints starting from the neck extension [by way of the spine]. That way, you rotate the second joint as it would move naturally.
Some people are into the joint faced rigging, and PEN has some interesting video posts you should check out. Start going through the posts here as a learning resource and you'll find all sorts of little tidbits.

although,
i usually study the anatomy of the character/creature and also plan the pivots before rigging, simple by drawing or even making a paint over of the viewport screen.

could you post a left (or right) screen of your character ?
