(http://assets.cgsociety.org/nvart/313381_1235997801/1024bound)Hi everyone! I have finnaly finished my entry.
I also wanted to do a night scene but unfortunatelly time has its limits (I'll definitely do it in the future.) :D I hope the concept is clear enough but also leaves some surreal-Jacek Yerka feel to it. I used 3ds max to establish basic composition and to explore various shapes of buildings that I wanted to create and than everything was painted in Corel painter and Photoshop. Hope you all like it and thanks for looking/posting.

Those waves have an asian simplified look to them. Also, they make it look like time has stopped, I guess since there's no mist , it almost looks like a solid object. Like a sculpture.

Well that was the idea , i did not want to copy just elements that are maybe in Jacek fantasy becouse i dont agree on many works here beeing posted with same motives as Jacek's( i am not attacking any of the competitors who did) just saying that "in the Style of Jacek Yerka" would also say "With Motives and Fantasy".Becouse i dont belive that it is productive in any way for competition in general to just copy elements,motives,fantasy... and belive that it would also say in the introduction of the competition something like " take the elements ... and make compostion, paint ......." because in the end you will be left with many works that are to simmilar to each other(in terms of Motives and not painting style)

thou everything i wrote here could be wrong. Its just my opinon on the competition.

So i decided to make my city and make my idea but in the Painting style of Jacek Yerka.
And the idea was to make Japan for example strugguling on a small island just left with Fuji mountain over it.And grate tides of the past (taken from the famous traditional Japanese graphic) transforming into the past. The reason to explore such a theme was many Surreal painters who influenced Jacek Yerka maybe even Jacek himself were very influenced with Japan Graphic etc.(dont want to talk about history of art it coul take alot of pages lol)
So i thought it was original idea and funny and Surreal. So i was influenced with the front page of the competetion the Flying city so that was my start point.... you can see the rest

I can post some details (it is very very detaild) but dont know how.....

I wanted to write all of this yesterday but was too tired and wanted to go to sleep

Thank you all for watching and feel free to critic me and everything else
