It's all 3d (maya)and some photoshop color adjustments. I was having some lighting issues. And my first post was the wrong image. I was really trying to create a mood with the lighting. So I'm glad to hear it evokes some memories. I'm probably going to clean up the image some and post again even though the contest is over.

I am stunned that this is 3D! You have created such a wonderful sense of depth and I find the luminosity to be quite wonderful. I would love to see your model for this. It is really extraordinary. Congratulations and good luck!
