View Full Version : Very basic problem - Biped Track Symmetrical

I have done a search, so if this is repetitive, please forgive me.

I am following along with Autodesk's quickstart tutorial on adjusting a biped for the Dr. X character. I have reached the section where I am supposed to select the left leg bone of the biped and then click the symmetrical button on the Biped Track Selection rollout, followed by rotating one leg bone to the proper position while the other leg bone mirrors this rotation.

My problem seems to be that when I click on the symmetrical button, it does add the second leg bone to the selection, but the rotation is not being mirrored. Both leg bones of the biped remain parallel. Perhaps I am missing something in the reading of this tutorial.

This is 3ds max 9 btw.

Thanks in advance,
Max

I believe one of Autodesk 3ds max 2009 new feature provide you with one button biped symmetry animation conversion.
