I think I know what will make this model look all nice and stuff !
a brand new material !!!
why don't you try the ultra-cool white material you (or at least I) see often in 3d models of robots !? :p
it's a great model, but perhaps the material is "cheapening" it ...
also try to make some grooves as details, or some other ... similar nonsense like bolts :D
+ it has no eyes :wise:

HoHoHO....almost look like the robot in Linkin park Video clips...well it is work in progress right...so I'm very sure you can adjust here and there to make it more realistic and lovely...
Starts tweaking...All the best!:applause:

i third the notion.
whatever you have on it now makes the mech look like it was constructed out of river-washed granite or something. are you trying to get more of a worn torn effect? if you aren't, i'd probably try something a bit sleek & shiny like a nice metallic black or white. hell, that grey you have in the wireframe without the texture looks pretty bad ass. all & all modelwise it's pretty tight, the swords look kind of plain, other than that good job

thank you all
i appriciate the critique
yea the textures are pretty bad
this is my first time texturing casue in the past i just use materials to cover my models
i had alot of people really liking the toon shader renders
so i think i will do something with that
i'm actually not tweaking this model anymore
i just started a new one :)
thanks again for the replies

hi guys
currently trying to put together my demo reel
and planning to make a 360 spin around
http://www.cdis.org/~lesterc/stuff/Zaluxspins_Medium.mov
i didn't work on it as much so it has some basic aniamtion
but i jsut wanted to make it to see how i would do it
that way when i do a real one with tweaks and all the goodies
i know what settings and setup i will need to do
so if you guys can give me some feeback and critque that would be awesome
Thanks
Lester
