Hey guys, I've just started a personal project to improve on my modelling and animation techniques. Mostly animation actually. Anyway I've already modelled out my character. I've tried rigging it yesterday but it turned out horrible. It couldn't even bend foward! Rigging is just not my cup of tea. >.<
So... I was wondering if anybody wanted to....practise rigging with my character or something. Heh (:

I've attached a picture of my character. It's really really simple. If anybody is interested please pm me. Thank you (:

Hi there,

Could you please take a snap shot of the wire frame and post that. Also, what is it that you want this character to do exactly? When you rig, you rig for a purpose.

Mmm.. I want the character to be able to walk, jump, bend in all 4 directions, move it's arms, able to move it's ears..some facial animation for the eyes would be totally awesome :X
Haha yeah that's about it..

I wouldn't mind attempting it. Give some nice squash and stretch. I'm assuming you want it to be a cartoony rig. In that case, it's going to be pretty complex. Sounds like fun. Can you send me the file? Is there a certain version of Maya you need me to rig this in? I have access to 8.5, 2008, and 2009. My email address is on my website at www.xyzillusions.com. I can't promise a time frame right now. I am currently working on my demo reel, which the assest for it are due at the end of March. Then the finished composited reel is due in April. Just want you to realize that takes priority. If I have some time on the side, I'll do some rigging on it.
