I started this day before yesterday....... comments etc..... but don't worry about smoothing issues, a default surface with 60 smoothing angle is on almost all the model still.

Cheers! :)

How can u work on a MAC? yuk!:shame:

anyways, the mech is coming along nicely, but you should in my opinion add sharper edges, its too beveled.

HEHE my sediments exactly.... ALthought he pixel level on a mac is radically different from a pc..
Sweet model, although hard to add a serious crit to your work. I personally would like to see a closer render and ones from different sides... Good Work..

First of all, the mech is awesome, great job on design and model!

Second of all... cool trick (I'll have to use that ;)).

The Style XP icon is what tipped me off (although, now that I think about it, macs don't have quick launch or desktop toolbars).

Anyway, more importantly, nice job on the mech, can't wait to see it done .

Hmmm... I can't say much so early. Is that your own design? Show us some sketches!! pleeeze! :D

what kind of OS is this? simply MacOSX? Or issit that new one? I didn't know that there is a Lightwave-Mac-Ver out. I have to work with the Layouter at work. And.... I just hate it. But the modeller is cool I heard...

Thanks people :) I'll post an update later, and I'll do some renders/wire as well.

It isn't my design, I can't off the top of my head recall the name/site it's from, but I like this design a lot, it could almost be 2nd world war with the style of it.

Cheers

Craig

P.s. It is WinXP running StyleXP and a Panther theme.

This is excellent my friend. I recently laid my eyes on Lightwave for the first time and was not sure how to use the tools to start 3D modelling. Would you know of a site where I could learn some of the basic functions ?

Thanks guys! I'm actually building from a John Wallin design, so aside from small details, it'll just be kinda how he designed it.

Time for a quick update, I've done a little work on the left hand gun, and some details added along with a bunch of optimised bits from previously show (you'll not notice them really as there was no wire frame before though).
