Name: Yap Kun Rong

Guard 1: "The things they say about him, is it true?"
Guard 2: "That his army aren't exactly like us?"
Guard 3: "what i heard was more about HER..."

This is the legend of Yamato Takeru. He was a famous warrior who defeated countless enemy and in one event dressed up as a maid and successfully completed his assasination. Many versions of his legend exist and he was so powerful that generally people associate his forces with divine beings.





This is my entry for Steampunk Challenge and i'm really honored and glad to get the concept art award for it! It has been a great competition and i thank everyone who helped me out with the critiques and suggestions. Hope you like it and look forward to the next challenge!

Wow! What a masterpiece. You sure a put a lot of effort into it and it shows. It's a very dynamic image. Her pose is just fantastic and her face really shines. The color vibrancy is also something to behold. Well done, Yap! +5

i like the saturated colors a lot, and the subject placement is well done, the highlights on the metallic parts need more highlighting though. :thumbsup:

i was following this in the steampunk challenge and loved how it turned out. This is an amazing piece, the composition is great and the colours sublime. 5 stars from me, great work man!
