CGTalk - Speed dropdown

hi there

I want to make a project based on slowmotion and timestreched footage. I'm especially looking for a technique to drop the speed to complete halt with combustion 2 if possible, but any simple technique is welcome ... the problem is, I want to make that GRADUALLY and I'd like to know if there is another possibility than cutting hundreds of footages with different timestreches ... in other words some sort of animatable speed of a footage.

Final Cut Pro 4 also has this functionality now, although I've not tried it yet to see how good the results are. The percentage based retmiing in FCP3 was mediocre at best (and wasnt keyframable).

I use ReTimer and get good results.
