I'm gonna need a new UPS for my new comp im building..........so, APC or Tripp Lite?

I know APC is great, but Tripp Lite has a $55,000 equipment insurance plan that comes with it......so, any ideas from anyone that has either.

Oh and i dont wanna spend more than $200

I have a Tripp Lite Smart INT 1400, and it works great so far (they could have put more cables in the package, though). No problems whatsoever, though we were tempted to go with an online solution instead of the line interactive one we got.

However, those were a bit too expensive for the sort of power I need, so we went with the above mentioned unit and no regrets.

That warranty sounds really great, they don't offer it around here. APC are also very nice, but they are a bit too expensive imho.

Cheers,
Andrei

Just about any UPS (or surge protector for that matter) will have an equipment warantee of $20,000+; usually more than enough to cover connected equipment.

I have a CyberPower UPS and it has a $350,000 connected equipment warantee. Seems to be working well so far.

Just be sure to get a UPS with enough Watts to supply power to all of your equipment. Also the closer you get to the maximum load the less run time you will have when the power goes out.
