View Full Version : shockwave - interactive business card
SquirrelyJones 07-03-2003, 04:56 PM I posted this in the flash forum but nobody has replied to it, so I'll post it here too. remove it if it's not apropriate.
This is an interactive business card I designed for an interior decorating company. I'd like to know what you guys think of it and what you think something like this would be worth as I still can't really figure out how much to charge people.

It's abou 15 mb and it's a projector so all you gotta do is open it.

I don't trust executable files.. Can you upload the swf, I'm sure almost everyone has flash, especially at these forums.
Yeah, I don't think anyone is going to trust opening up an exe file from someone they don't know. Post the swf and you'll probably get some feedback.

Much better ...
I don't know that I can be of much help though. I don't work with Flash so I have no idea how long something like this would take to put together. General rule of thumb, however, is to charge what it's worth to you. What's your time worth? Break it down hourly ... it's usually the easiest way to do it.
I'm sure they have a pretty good budget for advertising since it's an interior decorator firm. But don't get greedy or you'll loose a potential repeat customer.
As far as the Flash goes ... it's not too original, but I suppose it serves it's purpose. The navigation is easy, everything works as it's expected, and I'm not being visually assaulted by gimicks.
The only things I didn't like were the pineapple background (didn't reflect the quality of the product offered) and some of the font choices (could have been a little more elegant).
