Hi,

I modeled this human and rigged it. The enveloped seems to be fine after lots of fixing.
So, when I move the leg and the arm, it all works fine, however, when I choose the biped waist and try to move the body, the waist doesn't move at all. It's locked.

The following is the link for the bone/mesh, is in rar file.

Appreciated if anyone could just have a look and tell me why the waist bone is locked and how could I unlock it so I can start to animate it. Appreciate it for any advise.

Thank you.

Dude,
Are you trying to move the Pelvis? Pelvis doesn't move...it only rotates. If you want to move your biped, use the Bip01 (sometimes Bip01 Root).

Btw, the skinning needs alot of work. Remove the Bip01 bone from the skin envelopes. And get rid of the Turbosmooth...add it when all is complete for faster performance.

Hi Hugo,

Thank you so much for your helpful comments. I followed your advise and took the bip01 out from the Skin - Envelop and adjusted the skin more. I honestly quite happy with it, as rigging/animation is really not my cup of tea. However, I must do it to prove my concept.

My thesis is about: "Why use virtual character for a TV adv, rather a real Actor/Celebrity."
Basically the argument is if you rather have a one man who can do everything and therefore the production cost is lower VS a whole production team. The pros and cons.

I have a set of questions that I would really appreciate if you (and 2 more professionals from the Industry) could take your time (max 10/15 minutes) to answer it. Sort of "Interview". I'm looking for three in total, so I can write in my thesis/dissertation and give you and others two full credit. Let me know if you can, appreciated.

Just need to work on the arms movement. Nothing like Hollywood, but something "close" would be a plus. I'm more of a Modeler person but never the less, is always good to know the extra mile.

I have uploaded my progress and this time the legs looks much "better".
I really thank you very much for looking at it and give any comment/guidance.

Again, thank you very much Hugo for the help/advises.
