I believe that was what the error said. I am at work right now so I cannot find out for sure. But here is the situation. I am using Maya and I try and extrude an edge of a polygon(s). An error comes up and says I cannot because one or more polys are nonmanifold. I was wondering what exactly this means and how I correct it. >_< Sorry if its blatenly obvious, I am new and it has been the first thing that has stumped me. Please let me know!!

well, there are several aspects relating to geometry that may cause polygons to be 'non-manifold'. two or more polys sharing one vertex but no edge would be one example (check out the manual for further info!).

to get rid of your problem you'll have to perform a 'cleanup' and make sure that 'select and clean-up' non-manifold geometry is selected.

good luck!
