Hi there. This is my animated short. My first go at lip-syncing, and first to music.

Download: HERE (http://www.cgbox.com/flipthefrog/divxsml.avi) - 7.5 Meg - DivX 5.05 required.

Enjoy :)

Good start. You need to work on those facial expressions a bit more though, they are not really expressive enough. The animation doesn't really read very well, could do with exaggerating your poses maybe, and it's a bit linear. All part of the learning process though.

I like his silhouette against the sunset...

On the whole I like this animation. The character animation is exagerated but it has style and is consistent troughout the whole animation. What I think is the biggest downside with it is texturing and lighting. Everything looks a bit flat and lifeless. As to what mattmos said about the facial stuff i kind of agree. Many of the shapes reads in to your head and seem to be repeating without any "tweaks" to them which makes it a bit monotome. I understand it;s because of timelimitations but better enviroment would have helped i think. It goes from being mountains and stuff in the bg at the start to single colors to the house enviroment to single colors again and so on. Ruins the continuity a bit. All and all good work. A couple of months of tweaking and putting in enviroments would have made it even better :)

Yeah - thatnx for the contructive crit guys - much appreciated. :) I would be able to make this soooo much better now, as it was mainly a learning curve.
