Very stylish image indeed! I like that phantasmagoric style a lot!

But there are a few details I have to notice:

That attracts my attention at first is the lack of contrast in the shell. Maybe you eye just got used with this but at the first sight it is noticeable.

Next: there are no feeling of big distance, specific to the sea surface. It looks like it is a picture on the background, behind the waves. I think you should add some fog-faded waves behind the shell.

Tip: You can make the composition more dramatic by rotating the "camera", so the horizon to be a diagonal line. I know that it is a 2D-painting, but maybe you have some spare image data to try :)

More foam would not hurt.

There is a brilliant contrast effect between waves and the shell, that creates that after-storm effect. I like it very much!

Good luck!

Beautiful & stunning. Maybe its just me, but this reminds me so much of the Ivory Tower from the movie "the Neverending Story."
-Was this all digital, or done with traditional media?

Aww.
Just beautiful. The best thing is the atmosphere. As Anton Andriesh already said, it looks like a storm or heavy rain stopped recently, skys clearing up, etc. .

very ture. notice the wave close to the structure is not much different than the one in the forground. that kind of shorten the distence. also, I am not sure if you will see anything below the water in this weather.

but again, it's a beatuiful piece. very stylish and nice color tone. Love it!

Amazing work:eek: The sea and lighting are perfect, and the shell islands are nice and original.

Id love to see a small storm damaged boat in the foreground heading towards safty on the islands. It might give a greater sense of scale to the forground and a bit more of a story to the painting.

but basically faultless. I love it.

great work.
Love the concept and the waves are fantastic!

my critique would be the sense of scale. Maybe adding a character silloette would help us answer the question in our minds. Is that Conch an apartment building, a house or an entrance way to something bigger under the ocean.
