View Full Version : imported from MB i lost my blend shapes?
Levitateme 07-03-2003, 04:43 AM befofe i import i have my blend shapes on my face. after tht they dont woek anymore an ideas?

First, if you are taking the LW -> MB -> LW route, "merge", not import.
If that still doesn't work, you need to folow these steps:
- when prepping to go back to LW, in MB, select your scene root, then right click and select branches.
- plot animation
- while still selected, go file>save selected to new fbx file.
- Merge back to LW.

thanks if, im using maya and still clueless on how to do this right. anyone kno whow for maya?

I would think the same process would work for Maya, unless it's a blend shape issue...
did you plot the animation on the face before saving from MB?

CMan, if Levitateme is selecting the scene root and selcting all branches before plotting, that should include face animation.

MB WILL Import my blend shapes? sorry i am not sure were to find themin mb. does it have to be animated? i would rather do my blend shapes in maya if i could.

hi if, i havent done any blend shape animation in mb yet. i would like to actually becasue i like how mb works so much. so can someone maybe tell me how to get to my blend shapes for my face in mb? i think there is a 3d buzz tutorial on it, but im not sure what it s called.

Ok, 'cause I had trouble one time and did it separately to get it to work.
The VTM you probably want is 1-6, "Exporting from Maya" or 4-2, "Maya Blenshapes". :)
