CGTalk - Softimage installation problem

I just downloaded Softimage XSI-EXP for Linux but the directions in the website doesnt work. I have RedHat 9 and Im in the correct directory when I execuse the commands. Please.. I really need help. I want to learn Softimage really bad.

Saying 'they dont work' doesnt help a lot, what exactly happens, what error messages do you get or whatever?

I get command not found. Im in the XSI-EXP directory. I tried it with the ./ and with out it. When I do type setup, I get that screen that wants to configure the network, authenication, etc, which has nothing to do with the software. I have gnome as my gui so I really dont know what the problem is.

RH 9.0 is not supported as of yet, XSI does not run because of the updated glibc libraries.
