hey y'all! here is a scene i modelled for a friend of mine that designed that thingy and wanted to see how this will look like when it is produced in reallife. i had to create this one pretty quick cause he had to give the model sheets and htese renders to the guy that creates that thing. btw that "thing" is going to be used as a beverage carrier, dunno if there's a special expression for this. i've modelled, textured and lit this one in 2 hours plus rendertime. as you can see the renders also had to be quite fast, so there are low quality area shadows, low quality caustic setting, not the best antialiasing, and no radiosity. additionally the part where the wheels are attached to the glass is not entirely finished.
anyway, my mate liked it, so whatever. :D
this one was the first model that i modelled really accurate, i mean i had to use the measurements my friend gave to me. was a bit hard for me cause i am more the organic modelling type of guy. but it was a nice contrast to the character texturing i am spending all my time with at the moment.
well, talked too much, hope ya like it.

Very nice job! In 2 hours...excellent job!
No crits, really. Again...2 hours? How can you critisize that! OK...maybe more shadow on the floor in the first pic...

yeah the shadow could be stronger really.
2 hours plus rendertime. maybe 3 and a half hours all in all.

cool like the glass/plastic feel to it the greenish tint makes it look like industrial material of the type they use for that type of product....top result very convincing.
