I guess I'll post this here. This is an interactive business card I designed for an interior decorating company. I'd like to know what you guys think of it and what you think something like this would be worth as I still can't really figure out how much to charge people.

wetherbee business card (http://ftp.splashmediasolutions.com/samples/wetherbee.exe)

It's abou 15 mb and it's a projector so all you gotta do is open it.

Well, I looked to your interactive business card. It's intersting.

I think that the overall presentation is ok, but I don't like the backround and I the jpeg compression for the buttons is awfull.

In director if I want to use transparency for buttons you can use png file format. Don't forget to include the correct extra for the projector.

Now for the price of that, it depends if it you who is doing the pictures and the builiding of the quicktime VR or not.

Without the pictures, I would say it's a work of 3-4 days for the design of the interface and the programmation in director. I would charge for something like $1200.

Just one question, I work on dual screen and my director project with my regular setup open right in the junctions of the screen sand your presentation opened and only one screen. Is there a lingo function for that or is it an option of director mx (I'm working with 8.5) or maybe something I don't know?

Thanks for checking it out. The compression is bad because I wanted to save some time for people downloading it. The one for cd is 22 mb and has much less compression.

the 3d pictures are shockwave format for compatibility issues and I wrote the script for those myself. In your opinion is it better to just use quicktime to save time or use shockwave and know it's gonna work on every computer?

I used the Enhancer xtra to change the screen resolution but as far a specifying a monitor I don't know anything about that. I did use Director MX though.

We actually charged only $500 for the whole thing. :hmm:
Thanks again for the info, I got another one I'm gonna post that looks way better.
