View Full Version : Spirit in the Bottle WIP
Nyrak 02-21-2009, 06:22 AM Hello. I'm working on a practice piece and I'd love any crits y'all have to offer so far. This is a scene from the Grimm fairy tale, "Spirit in the Bottle" when a woodcutter's son releases a bad spirit from a bottle buried under a tree. The spirit wants to kill the boy, but he tricks him and ends up with a reward.

hmm its a very nice idea and im rly looking forward to see some updates done here :D
i just think that the angle of the kid should be abit different cuz he seems like hes about to fall off .
as i dont know whats the feel yure trying to get to in this pic idk if yure doing ok or not but as far as you written and done up untill now i think you made a good job and waiting to see some updates :D

I tried to ground the boy's feet more. Hopefully he no longer looks like he's toppling out of the picture. :D

I like the smoke effect you have for the spirit emerging from the bottle. I think it would be very nice to see some other areas of the spirits body affected in this way.

well its turning out great ^_^
btw what time of the day is it on that scene ? or its supposed to be a foggy forest or something like that :D ?
