View Full Version : Twisty Sweeps
knight42 07-02-2003, 06:53 PM What's causing the twisting in the Sweep NURBS object in the attached pic? It's just a rectangle swept along a spline. I just can't seem to correct it and keep the correct shape. I thought it was Banking, but this causes the rectangle not to rotate along the spline.
I know it's obvious, but what?

hmm interesting with out the scene file I can't say much.
but I have had problems with splines due to the original spline not being at the right angle. so you might play around with there rotations a bit.

Good point. Here's the scene file.

go into your sweep object attributes....turn on banking
then go into you rectangle attibutes...set it to xy plane
make it editable
then select you axis tool...and rotate the axis by 90 degrees on the z
side note...c4d always sweeps along the z axis
