Hi there! I have a question yet again!
Here's the situation, i have this creature which is supposed to pull itself up from the ground, but i have no idea on how to do this. The reason for that i guess is that im still using forward kinematics for the arms. This is becoz i got around using IK thanx to Wes' tutorial for the legs.

As ull know, with Forward Kinematics its pretty difficult and tedious to get the hands to stay in one place, while the arm pulls the creature up, but i was really hoping i could do this without IK, since i dont know that much about that!

Tnx loads for the help in advance!

(i hope this isnt a stupid question:) )

This may be a long shot with out testing it but I don't have time to do a scene right now. Do you have any experience with expresso? I am thinking if you link the position of a bone in the hand-prbably the parent bone-to a placed null object could you then pull the body up and bend the elbows while the hand stays in place? In expresso coordinates > position > position. I may be off here but I think expresso is going to be the answer without doing any new rigging. HTH a little.

use targets and all. like put them in the hands so that when you pull up it all rotates around the hand.

it would take a funky set up kinda like reverse the normal where the body follows the legs.

But its possible deffinitely.

(they gave me my motion builder serials finally woo hoo)
