I suggest you uninstall everything.
Go to Add/remove program and uninstall the driver. Restart.
Make sure your wacom isn't connected.
Install the driver you got from the wacom site. Follow instructions, install.
Turn off the computer and turn it on again.
Plug in the wacom and it should work... Check the wacom properties too.
Another suggestion is to go get Vista 64bit. It works flawlessly.
I had XP 64bit for awhile but after all the driver problems I was having, I decided to change it to Vista 64bit. Everything works great.

That's strange. I don't have any problems whatsoever with the Wacom drivers on my XP64 on two separate machines. Are you sure you downloaded the correct driver from the site? If this is a new install of XP64, have you first downloaded and installed the latest drivers for the motherboard? Does the Wacom tablet work otherwise when you connect it (can you use it to control your mouse with it)? If it doesn't, then either motherboard drivers were not installed, or something could be wrong with the USB port that you're connecting it to.

Hello, I have a similar problem with my intuos 3,
I switched to xp 64 and and I installed the last driver succesfully(610-6), the pen is working fine, but I dont have any trace of the properties manager, it s like it have never been installed, and as well the install of the found new hardware setup is failing all the time...weird...
Are you able to start the software properties manager on your machine?
thanks

I tryed all the version of this driver, i did it manually as well in the device manager, nothing is working : I can see the the wacom drivers in the HID right away after install but they won't install, and at reboot they are gone... the worst is than I can use the tablet, but I can't get the tablet manager (for custom settings).

I finally get it to work, but he installed the Tablet properties on my other disk!!!
for the driver I used pro608-4a_int version and i had to precisly plug and unplug the device at the right moment, unplug it before desinstall, and plug it right away after reboot... otherwise it fails...
Thanks for your reply
